2021

This year’s train car is modeled after the old circus train cars.

Oliver started his first year of musical theatre where he has found himself playing multiple roles in the kid’s production of ‘The little Mermaid” at the Theatre in the Country in Langley. His main character is Jetsom, one of Ursella's henchmen, and his smaller roles are that of the seahorse and the seagull. I have Jetsom and the seahorse carved and inside the cage while the seagull is relaxing on the roof of the car.

Charlie started Karate this year so also on the roof is our Monkey, Charlie (as being revisited from his monkey portrayal on the caboose of the 2009 train), in the karate guy in a classic stance.

On one end of the car you will notice a poster that reads “The Amazing Charlie’s Bee Races". This is just a subtle way of pointing out that Charlie got his braces this year, His B-Races!

On the other end of the car is a Collectors license plate. This was the year I worked on getting my 1986 Camaro completed and detailed enough to get the sought after Collectors plates I wanted for it.

And finally carved into the décor of the framework, top and center, is Oliver's new pet hamster Latte. In Latte's teeth you will notice a syringe. This syringe is to signify after such a tense year of 2020 Mona, Charlie, Oliver and myself all got the vaccine to help immunize us from Covid –19.
